As part of its 5th anniversary, the Coimbatore-based pharmacovigilance consulting and drug safety services company, Oviya MedSafe (OMS), is conducting a two-day national level conference and workshop on pharmacovigilance under the banner 'Drug Diligence 2017’.
The programme will be held at the IMA hall at Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu on the 17th and 18th of this month.
“By organizing this conference, OMS aspires to engage healthcare professionals in a dialogue on how to adopt pharmacovigilance in their practices and how can it be improved for patient safety. Further, the organisation wants to enhance the appetite of the students of medical, pharmacy and life sciences and graduates to take pharmacovigilance as a career”, said Dr. Vijay Venkitaraman, managing director of OMS.
He said Oviya MedSafe is working with leading pharmaceutical companies from different parts of the world to help them remain compliant with regulatory obligations of different countries pertaining to drug safety.
Drug Diligence 2017 will benefit mainly the practicing clinicians, clinical investigators, clinical pharmacists, professionals of pharmaceutical industry and clinical research organisations (CROs).
In the two days seminars and workshop, renowned academic faculties from medical and pharmacy institutions from different states will take part as speakers and resource persons. Besides, scientific and technical experts from pharmaceutical industry, government officials and service providers in pharmacovigilance and allied areas will also attend the programme. Students who are attending the program will be given chances for paper presentation on pharmacovigilance.
