Deepnath Roy Chowdhury takes over as IDMA national president

deepnath_roy+101359.jpgDeepnath Roy Chowdhury, managing director of Strassenburg Pharmaceuticals has taken over as the national president of Indian Drug Manufacturers' Association (IDMA).

He took over the baton from S V Veerramani, chairman & managing director, Fourrts (India) Laboratories with effect from 21st January 2017.

With this, IDMA executive committee comprises of national president Deepnath Roy Chowdhury, immediate past national president SV Veerraman, vice president (western region) and partner-DY-MACH Pharma Mahesh H. Doshi, vice president-northern region and director-Next Wave (India) Auronext Pharma BR Sikri, vice president- southern region and managing director- Pharm Products T Ravichandiran, vice president-eastern region and director- Stadmed Asheesh Roy, general secretary and director- S Kant Healthcare Bharat N Shah, joint secretary and executive director- Palsons Derma Siddhartha Paul, joint secretary and director-Kilitch Co.(Pharma) Ltd Bhavin Mukund Mehta and treasurer and director- INGA Laboratories Dr. George A. Patani.

Speaking on the occasion, Chowdhury thanked Veerramani and said “I strongly believe in consistency and continuity and would like to carry on with the objectives laid out by Veerramani over the last three years. We have 1,000 members and eight state boards. We hope to set up state boards and inspire more companies to join IDMA family to further strengthen the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry’s march towards becoming a Global Pharma Superpower. We will continue to focus on working closely with the government to ensure that “Made in India” pharma products are synonymous with quality and affordability.”
