TSPCB to investigate on KKS Organics for violating pollution control norms

The Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) has set out for an investigation on KKS Organics for violating pollution control norms in the state.

According to sources at Industrial Development Authority (IDA) from Patancheru, they have filed a complaint with the TSPCB against KKS Organics as the company has been regularly violating the pollution control norms and is continuously indulging in polluting the environment by way of dumping the pollutants in the open.

“Following a complaint filed by representatives of IDA, we have decided to take up an investigation and if found any discrepancies with regard to violation of pollution control norms by the said company we will take necessary legal action against and severely penalize the violators,” said P. Satyanarayana Reddy, member secretary of TSPCB.

According to TSPCB authorities, KKS Organics is involved in solvent recovery process and the company has not followed any kind of measures to comply with pollution control norms and is regularly dumping the pollutants in the open causing grave damage to the environment.

In view of this, a high level meeting of officials was held at IDA Patancheru and IDA Pashamailaram between E. Venkata Narsimha Reddy, managing director Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure development, P. Satyanarayana Reddy, member secretary TSPCB and district revenue officials from Sangareddy district to chart out a concrete strategy to ensure no such incident of pollution violation takes place by the industries in the future.
