Vimta Labs net profit zooms by 99% in Q2, scrip moves up by 20%

Vimta Labs, a Hyderabad based Rs. 150 crore plus pharma company, has posted strong growth of 98.6 per cent in net profit during the second quarter ended September 2017 to Rs. 4.33 crore from Rs. 2.18 crore in the corresponding period of last year. Its net sales improved by 13.3 per cent to Rs. 42.65 crore from Rs. 37.63 crore. EPS went up to Rs. 1.96 as compared to Rs. 0.99 in the last period.

After announcement of financial working, Vimta scrip has taken jump of 20 per cent and closed at Rs. 163.50 today with circuit breaker. The was at its lowest level at Rs. 95 on December 2, 2016.

Tor the first half ended September 2017, Vimta's net sales increased by 9.2 per cent to Rs. 81.69 crore from Rs. 74.84 crore in the similar period of last year. Its net profit increased by 7.2 per cent to Rs. 5.39 crore from Rs. 5.03 crore.

The company appointed Yalamanchili Rani as additional director and she will be an independent non-executive director.
