Clinical study meant to evaluate effectiveness of anti-VEGF treatment to be released at 11th APVRS congress in Kuala Lumpur

The 2-year findings of PLANET, a key clinical study on Polypoidal Choroidal Vasculopathy (PCV) will be released on December 9, 2017 for the first time at the 11th Asia-Pacific Vitreo-retina Society (APVRS) Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

PCV is an age-related eye disease and a common cause of blindness. PLANET evaluates the effectiveness and safety of the anti-VEGF treatment Eylea (Aflibercept) in the treatment of PCV when used as a single therapy.

Prof Wong Tien Yin, medical director, Singapore National Eye Centre and the principal investigator of PLANET will present the study.

A seminar on EYLEA—Extending Horizons in the Management of nAMD and PCV will also be hosted at the APVRS Congress in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
