Kapiva Ayurveda, a subsidiary of India's leading Ayurveda company, Shree Baidyanath Ayurveda Bhawan, is eying Rs. 100 crore turnover by 2020 as it plans to expand presence in India and diversify product portfolio.
The company is set to open another 15 stores by the end of 2018 in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Delhi and Chennai. Currently, it has four stores each in Mumbai and Kolkata and is planning to set up another three-four stores in Mumbai.
“As of now we have Kapiva stores in Mumbai and Kolkata. With an aim to meet growing demand for Ayurveda products, we are planning to come up with another 15 stores by 2018 in four metros-- Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru and Chennai. In next phase Kapiva stores will be opened in smaller cities through franchisee route. We will soon start franchising for Kapiva stores,” said Ameve Sharma, president, Baidyanath Ayurveda Bhawan and director allAyurveda.com.
Deriving its name from the three doshas of Ayurveda – Kapha-Pitta-Vatta – Kapiva's range of 200+ GMP certified products contain the right herbs in the right dosage, offering effective remedies for a broad spectrum of ailments. A majority of Kapiva's products deals with lifestyle conditions. Carrying the heritage of Baidyanath, Kapiva was launched with a vision to merge ancient ayurvedic tradition with modern-day science and technology, so everyone can adopt Ayurveda as a healthy and easy lifestyle choice. We aim to target youth aged 25-40 years in the country and increase export through Kapiva. Kapiva Clinics offer quality Ayurvedic treatment. It has in-house doctors providing on-demand consultations for a vast array of ailments, said Sharma.
Currently monthly revenue of Kapiva catering to both domestic and global markets stands at Rs. 60 lakh. Over next years, we are planning to clock Rs. 100 crore turnover through Kapiva. We are also diversifying portfolio in Ayurvedic space and coming up with personal care, hair care, skin care products, he added.
