eMed Technologies, a leader in PACS and web-based medical image distribution solutions, and Creative Computer Applications, Inc. (CCA) a provider of Clinical Information Systems (CIS) for hospital and clinic-based laboratories, pharmacies and radiology departments, today announced a joint marketing and development partnership. Together, the companies will integrate the eMed Ideal Image Management Suite with the CCA CyberRAD Radiology Information System (RIS). The result of this collaboration will be a complete solution that synchronizes medical imaging and clinical information workflow. Specifically designed for the imaging center or smaller hospital enterprise, the integrated solution will automate processes at every point of patient care-scheduling, image acquisition, diagnostic reading, and results delivery. The partnership between CCA and eMed will address the needs of imaging facilities seeking a single RIS-PACS solution. By tightly integrating the eMed PACS with the CCA CyberRAD RIS, facilities will now be able to realize the automated workflow benefits at a cost that was once reserved for the large facility budget. "Our goal is to provide a seamlessly integrated solution that reduces operation complexity and total cost of ownership," explains eMed CEO and Chairman, Mark Smith, "By fusing imaging and information transactions, we can give imaging facilities better control of their businesses." "The synergy between CCA and eMed, both at the corporate level as well as product application level, substantiates our mutual commitment to the radiology healthcare industry. Integrating our CyberRAD RIS with eMed's PACS improves workflow, eliminates duplicate entry errors, data redundancy, and ensures the patient information provided to the end-user is complete, concise and secure," states CCA CEO and President, Steven Besbeck.
