Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 159.4 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2002 as compared to Rs 89.1 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal, marking a jump of 78.90 per cent.
The net sales have increased from Rs 538.3 crore in SQ-01 to Rs 804.4 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2002. Other operating income for SQ-02 is at Rs 56 crore.
During the quarter ended September 30, 2002 the company earned Rs 4.8 crore as extraordinary items as compared to Rs 72.7 million in the corresponding period last fiscal.
The consolidated sales of Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd and its subsidiaries was Rs 1046.4 crore and the profit after tax was Rs 148.9 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2002.
