The Asian Business School (ABS), Bangalore, has signed a memorandum of understanding and an agreement with the College of Health and Human Services of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio (USA). The collaboration offers the prestigious postgraduate degree, MHA (Master of Health Administration), in Bangalore, catering to the demand for qualified 'Health Care Administrators' in India. The programme will operate in compliance with USA accreditation standards in all aspects - student selection, course content, faculty staffing, facilities and administration. The programme is very similar to the MBA programmes except that its primary focus is to train students in the health and hospital administration field, especially in super speciality hospitals. The programme requires 18 months to complete and includes an administrative career at entry-level and mid-level managements positions. The tuition fee will be in the range of Rs 7 to Rs 8 lakh for the programme. The biggest advantage, students of ABS will have is that they can opt to spend one or more academic quarters on the main campus of Ohio University in Athens, Ohio. By doing so, the students may fulfill part of the credit hours required for awarding the degree at the USA facilities.
