IDMA, IIMM to organise seminar on central excise and customs

The Indian Drug Manufacturers' Association (IDMA) and Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) - Mumbai Branch is jointly organising a two day seminar, 'Central Excise & Customs Service Tax (Policy, Rules, Procedures, Regulations),' on November 29, 2002 and November 30, 2002 at Hotel Bawa International, Mumbai. The seminar is been organised to give full insight on various functional aspects of central excise and customs. It will also highlight the latest changes in these laws. The seminars are designed to discuss the implications of these taxes which have become integral with every manufacturing and sales activity today. The participants will have opportunity to interact with professionals from various industries and equip themselves to effectively and prudently plan their taxes, and achieve cost reduction. The seminar will impart practical knowledge, educate participants in efficient handling of records, help handle day to day problems, provide checklist to ensure strict compliance and to deal with departmental officers with confidence. The course is specially designed for executives and managers from all divisions who are handling day to day excise matters, or those engaged in imports, exports, customs clearance, as well as those in functional areas who need to have a greater awareness of the subjects.
