Seminar and training programme on IPR

The Centre for IPR (C-IPR) is organizing a National Seminar on "Small Manufacturing: Recognition, Protection, & Securitisation of Intellectual Property" and a two-day Training Programme on "Awareness on Protection of IPRs in India" on November 28, 2002. The objective of the seminar is to initiate seeds of attitudinal changes that would be congenial for creation, recognition and appreciation of IP by citing live examples of IP creation and recognition. The methodologies for valuation of IP and evaluate the current means and legislations available for protection of IP will be discussed in the seminar. The seminar will also aim at exploring methods that could be available for securitisation of IP so that capital in the form of IP could be properly utilized for advancement of Innovation in Industry thereby causing enhancement in productivity and competitiveness. The training progarmme is aimed at propagating the importance of IPR acquisition, development, and management among small and medium enterprises and enhancing their competitive power by encouraging their IPR capability and capacity.
