eMed Technologies, a leader in Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and web-based medical image distribution solutions, announced that Lompoc Healthcare District, in Lompoc California will implement eMed Entera, the company's RIS-PACS solution. Developed in partnership with Radiology Information Systems (RIS) provider, Creative Computer Applications (CCA), Entera was launched by the two companies earlier this month. The application is an end-to-end solution that fuses clinical information with digital imaging to improve radiology workflow at every point of patient care. According to David McAninch, Lompoc Healthcare District Chief of Radiology, the hospital looked at several PACS providers before choosing the eMed solution."We were impressed by the team at eMed and the tight integration between CCA's CyberRAD RIS and the eMed PACS," Dr. McAninch comments, "We expected PACS to improve the efficiency of our radiologists, but bringing clinical information together with medical images will allow us to experience a substantial increase in productivity." eMed feels that the contract with Lompoc Healthcare District is another example of the company's strategic commitment to providing scalable, affordable solutions that meet the needs of the smaller enterprise.Dave Mahoney, eMed V.P. of Sales explains, "Like many community hospitals, Lompoc Healthcare District was seeking a solution that would bring real value to their facility, its physicians, and patients.eMed is pleased to provide them with technology that will bring them powerful benefits today, and easily grow with their needs in the future."
