Escorts Heart Institute and Research Centre has unveiled the highlights of the International conference organized by the "International Society for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (ISMICS)" for the first time outside United States & Europe. The three-day first annual Winter Workshop organized by the EHIRC begins from December 13 till 15, 2002 that will bring together the well-known surgeons and internationally recognized experts from across the world to explore the emerging new technologies in minimally invasive cardiac surgery.

The three-day seminar-taking place at the India Habitat Centre will explore and define the emerging technology in minimally invasive cardiac surgery. The seminar will witness eminent doctors from across the world giving presentations on innovative techniques used in surgeries and the future of cardiac surgery. Other topics, which will be discussed, are anesthetic management, new techniques of arrhythmia surgery, concepts for treatment of end-stage heart failure and cutting interventions in cardiology.
The seminar will also conduct breakout sessions in cardiac surgery, cardiac anesthesia, interventional cardiology, clinical & non invasive cardiology, paediatric cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology. The International society for the minimally invasive cardiac surgery was formed to organize and centralise the various surgical centers concerned with patient's outcomes, techniques, and progressive development of less invasive forms of heart surgeries. It is formed by the participants of the world congress of minimally invasive cardiac surgery at the palais congress, Paris France, the new ISMICS is taking the leaders role in shaping the direction of less invasive cardiac surgery to global basis.
