Dr C L Kaul, Head National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) has received the Eminent Pharmacist 2002 instituted by Indian Pharmaceutical Association (IPA). The award carries scroll and cheque of Rs 10,000. Prof Chandrakant Kokate, president, Pharmacy Council of India and vice chancellor, Kakatiya University, Andhra Pradesh, was the recipient of the Eminent Pharmacist Award - 2001. Both the eminent pharmacists were honoured at the inaugural day of the 54th Indian Pharmaceutical Congress and 17 other national awards were also given away.

Dr Ashok V Katdare, director of Project Management, Pharmaceutical and Analytical R&D, Abbott Laboratories, Chicago, USA is the recipient of Prof M L Khorana Memorial Lecture Award instituted by IPA. The award carries a memento and Rs 15,000.
J D Campos (Jr), Chairman and CEO United Group of Companies, Phillipines received K C Chattarji Memorial Award from Indian Pharmaceutical Graduate Association (IPGA)
K G Ravikumar, Associate Professor, Chief & Head, Department of Hospital and Clinical Pharmacy Services, Medical College Hospital Thiruvanthapuram received Prof. M L Schroff Memorial Award from Indian Hospital Pharmacists Association
