Thuris and RGM S.P.A announced the initiation of a marketing and scientific collaboration. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Thuris NeuroGraph is a portable, turnkey hardware and software system that enables a health practitioner to run a rapid, non-invasive session eliciting electrophysiological data from a patient. The device captures evoked brain responses and provides detailed comparative information relating a subject's responses to those of carefully examined patients stored in a proprietary database. The system is the direct result of the unexpected power of novel signal processing techniques applied to the analysis of complex electrophysiological activity in the brain. "The idea of using electrophysiological signals to aid in the diagnosis of Central Nervous System disorders has been around for many years but no satisfactory approaches have been developed. In response to this need Thuris built a device that will deliver objective, physiological data to the fields of psychiatry and neurology. By combining proprietary software, hardware, and patient databases, Thuris has created a medical device that can aid in the diagnosis of CNS disorders. Our collaboration with RGM will enhance our database building and provide valuable marketing feedback for our coming launch of the NeuroGraph. RGM is an innovative company with great leadership, we expect to have a very rewarding relationship with them." said Keith B. Hoffman, Vice President at Thuris. The ability to offer a fast, non-invasive diagnostic tool for CNS disorders will bring a new level of evaluation to brain-related conditions. We are extremely pleased to have access to Thuris NeuroGraph technology. Its potential benefit to the diagnosis of various CNS disorders is significant. The NeuroGraph, besides being a very valuable tool by itself, will be a major addition to our set of non-invasive, functional evaluation devices, added Michele Gallamini, Vice President at RGM.
