Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and Ranbaxy Limited are the only two pharmaceutical companies from India which have found a place in the list of 105 best companies in Asia, as per the CFO Asia annual report survey. While Dr. Reddy's Laboratories was placed 65th in the list, Ranbaxy Laboratories was placed 97th in the survey.
CFO Asia, a leading finance magazine published by The Economist Group, carried the results of the Best Annual Reports contest in Asia. This annual report survey is conducted by CFO Asia in partnership with Belgium-based reports evaluator Enterprise.com, an affiliate of US-based Corporate Essentials.
The parameters for judging the company was not known. In all, 144 companies from Asia participated in the contest. Of them only 40 companies achieved half-the-maximum score, and five Indian companies were among the 40.The two Indian pharmaceutical were not among the 40 companies achieving half-the-maximum score.
