Pfizer Inc and Pharmacia Corp. announced that the staff of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission has completed its review of Pfizer's plans for the acquisition of Pharmacia.
A proposed Consent Decree, executed by the companies and the staff, will be forwarded to the Commission for acceptance and placement on the public record. Based on past commission practice, Pfizer continues to anticipate that this process will result in the closing of the transaction in April.
