Aspro, the renowned brand in the analgesic category launched in India as a pain reliever fifty years ago, was relaunched by Boots Piramal Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Aspro is an oral analgesic, which provides effective and immediate relief from body ache and headache. It is available in a pink colored aluminum foil pack of 4 tablets priced at Rs2.84 (local taxes extra). Aspro, recommended for headache, body ache, toothache, muscular pains, pains associated with sore throat and similar conditions associated with common cold, contains asprin and caffeine. While asprin possesses a number of properties that makes it extremely effective in giving relief to a person in pain caffeine helps in lightening the mood of the person. BPHL is a joint venture between Boots Healthcare International and Nicholas Piramal India formed to develop and market consumer healthcare products in India. BPHL has brands like Saridon (analgesics), Strepsils (throat care), Ultra Clearasil & Clearasil Soap & Face Wash (acne treatment and prevention) and Lacto Calamine (skin care), Polycrol (digestive) and Sweetex and Icy (sweeteners and candies).
