HSCC comes out with fixed performances parameters for the healthcare sector, conceptualize AIIMS models in 6 states

In a bid to provide innovative and quality knowledge based services to the heath and social sectors, Hospital Services Consultancy Corporation under the Union Ministry of Health, has come out with fixed performance parameters for the current year. Its services encompass conceptual studies & management consultancy, engineering studies, project management, procurement services, logistics & installation, information technology etc. The company provides consultancy services to Central Government, State Government, Trusts, Corporate as well as Private Sector. In an MoU signed by S.K. Naik, Secretary (Health), Ministry of Health and Ashok Kumar, CMD, HSCC on March 28, 2003, the HSCC formalized its targets for the year. The company has been continuously growing over the past few years and expects to achieve a turnover of approx. Rs.25 crore this year. An ISO 9001 company, HSCC is presently implementing more than 25 large healthcare projects worth Rs.900 crore in the country. The company has been involved in the vital area of healthcare by providing consultancy services right from concept to commissioning in health, social and environmental areas. With the MoU announcing the growth plans for the year, HSCC is expected to retain its "excellent" performance rate for the coming year too. The Department of Public Enterprises had been rating HSCC as 'excellent' for six years (2001-02) in a row now. HSCC has excelled in productivity improvement, where it has grown by 7 times i.e. from Rs.2.00 lakh per employee in 1997-98 to Rs.14.00 lakh per employee today. The Corporation has also undertaken a study project on environmental status of MSW Land fill side at Delhi and its upgradation totally at its own cost. The study is in its final phase and the recommendations would be soon submitted to the Government. The institution, which has become the flagship for infrastructural development in the health sector, has been awarded the work of road mapping the development of AIIMS models in six different parts of the country. HSCC has also been asked to finalise the Sanjeevani Project related to disaster and crisis management.
