A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Artificial Limb Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO), Kanpur for establishment of five district disability and rehabilitation centers and two auxiliary production centers at Jabalpur and Bangalore, stated an official release from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment.
The MoU signed for the year 2003-04 lays down a turn over target of Rs. 45 crore for ALIMCO. C. Gopal Reddy, Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and Brig. Jagmohan Uppal (Retd.), Chairman and Managing Director of ALIMCO signed the MoU on behalf of the Government and ALIMCO respectively. ALIMCO is a public sector undertaking under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, the release said.
