The World Diabetes Foundation (WDF), Denmark and Aravind Eye Hospital here will shortly sign a partnership contract to prevent and control diabetic retinopathy, ranking sixth as the cause of blindness in India.
Dr Anil Kapur, WDF, Novo Nordisk, and Dr P Namperumalswamy said in a statement here the partnership project, supported by the foundation, aimed at screening people with diabetes for diabetic retinopathy and providing better treatment by harnessing information technology, and telemedicine facilities.
