Strand Genomics licenses 'Soochika' to Bioprocessing Technology Institute, Singapore

Strand Genomics Pvt Ltd (Strand), a life sciences informatics company has licensed their micro array data mining and management product, Soochika, to Bioprocessing Technology Institute, Singapore. Soochika is a comprehensive micro array data mining and management tool, employs extensive data cleaning, filtering, transformation and normalization techniques. The product has three main analysis pipelines- cluster analysis (which includes multiple clustering techniques like K-Means, Hierarchical, Random Walk, Percolation, SOM, Eigen-Value Based clustering, etc), predictive model building (which includes supervised machine learning techniques like SVM, Neural Networks, Decision Tree analysis and linear regression), and differential analysis it also includes an annotation module, which allows the user to pull and organize all relevant information on gene sequences of interest for further analysis. This software is available for both desktop and enterprise wide deployment and runs on Windows, UNIX, Mac OS X and Linux systems.
