Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 51.77 crore for the year ended March 31, 2003 as compared to Rs 49.86 crore for the year ended March 31, 2002. Total income has increased from Rs. 445.76 crore in the FY-02 to Rs 447.85 crore in the year ended March 31, 2003.
The company has posted a net profit of Rs 9.02 crore for the quarter ended March 2003 as compared to Rs 54.21 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2002. Total income has decreased from Rs 94.21crore in the MQ-02 to Rs 93.19 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2003.
The group has posted a net profit of Rs 44.29 crore for the year ended March 2003 as compared to Rs 46.04 crore for the year ended March 31, 2002. Total income has increased from Rs 448.13 crore in the FY-02 to Rs 452.47 crore in the year ended March 31, 2003.
The Board of Directors has proposed an equity dividend of Rs 8.00 per equity share of Rs 10/- each fully paid.
