J. B. Chemicals gets EU Certification renewal for diclofenac sodium

The Council of Europe, European Directorate for the Quality of Medicine and European Pharmacopoeia Commission have renewed J. B. Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd’s (JBCPL) European Certification for diclofenac sodium for a period of five years until March 17, 2008. Diclofenac sodium falls under the therapeutic category of non steroidal anti inflammatory drugs (NSAID), which is commonly used to relieve the pain associated with rheumatoid arthritis. JBCPL manufactures diclofenac sodium in its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Panoli in Gujarat, India. The said manufacturing facilities are being periodically audited and approved by various reputed transnational organizations. JBCPL currently exports diclofenac sodium to major European clients in Germany, Mexico, Italy, Iran etc. Apart from European Certification, the Company also holds number of drug master files with US, FDA including for diclofenac sodium. In 2002, JBCPL emerged as the first Indian and Asian company to receive the prestigious European Certification for nifedipine and metronidazole. The renewal of European Certification for diclofenac sodium will further consolidate Company’s presence in the quality conscious and strictly regulated European markets.
