IPMMA to organize seminar on Schedule M

In a bid to upgrade manufacturing practices for Drugs & Cosmetic Rules and to create awareness of the internationally recommended WHO guidelines, the Indian Pharmaceutical Machinery Manufacturers Association (IPMMA) will organise a seminar on Schedule M on July 12, 2003 at Mumbai. The key speaker at the event is S S Lamba ((Sr General Manager- Works) of Lupin Ltd. Schedule M is a progressive mechanism to harmonise the production of drugs and pharmaceuticals. It precribes the requirement of premises, plant & equipment involved during the course of drug manufacturing or before the setup of a new manufacturing unit. Schedule M is a pre-requisite for maintenance of quality control in the production of drugs. Companies will be required to update their practices through appropriate methodology, systems, procedures, documents so as to keep pace with the advances in the technology. This seminar speaks to create added awareness amongst the manufacturers, about the importance of "Quality" product and its acceptibility to the consumers and regulatory authorities.
