CareCentric Inc announced the release of Stat Cache 5.5, a new multidimensional database system that will provide current CareCentric Stat 2 users with a dramatic increase in system performance and the ability to use the latest operating system technologies including Microsoft W2000 and XP. "We are very excited about Stat Cache 5.5," said John Festa, President and CEO of CareCentric. "While CareCentric's Stat 2 home health care management system continues to be a proven, reliable solution, meeting all PPS and HIPAA regulatory requirements, we wanted to provide our customers with a way to make an easy, affordable transition into the latest operating system technologies. Stat Cache 5.5 enables Stat 2 users to retain uninterrupted use of Stat 2's with comprehensive, billing and operations functionality with a dramatic increase in system performance and reporting capabilities." "The increased performance in Stat Cache 5.5 is unbelievable," said Kevin Bailey, Director of Information Systems at Pro-Care Home Health Inc., a Stat 2 Cache beta test site. "We have experienced dramatic system processing improvements across the board. For example, payroll processing and Crystal reports have been reduced from minutes to seconds." Bailey added, "System administration in general is much easier now using Windows. Printers can be activated on line without any interruption to the system. We made the decision to upgrade our server with the conversion and are extremely pleased with the results." Stat Cache 5.5 runs on Microsoft 2000 and XP. Built-in SQL capability provides users with immediate access to 3rd party report generating tools such as Microsoft Access, Crystal Reports, ReportSmith, and Microsoft Excel. Easy access to these tools enable users to monitor, analyze and report on critical business operating factors both in real and historical time or ad hoc without incurring additional third-party SQL costs. Stat Cache 5.5 and Stat 2 will continue concurrent development of enhancements and regulatory requirements including all HIPAA related standards. This option represents CareCentric's continued commitment to all customers regardless of their decision to upgrade to Stat Cache at this time or not.
