DCGI clears 46 import registration applications during May-June

The office of the Drugs Controller General of India has given import clearances for 46 products during the last one month (May 15 to June 15). This includes 14 bulk drugs, 14 formulations, 10 vaccines; three blood products and five diagnostic kits. Of the 14 bulk drug approvals, seven have gone to Mumbai based Shree Labs. The company has received approvals for importing and marketing drugs from Israel, Italy and Hungary. In the case of formulations too, its Mumbai based Globe Trotters Pvt Limited that has received import clearance. Globe Trotters are to import drugs from Concept Pharmaceuticals (Nepal) Pvt Ltd. The vaccine approvals have gone to Intervet India Ltd, Panacea Biotech, GSK Pharma and Argoman Systems. Three blood products and five diagnostic kits were also approved during the period.
