IHPA annual conference planned on October 27

The annual National Conference of Indian Hospital Pharmacists Association (IHPA) will be held at St Stephens Hospital, New Delhi on October 27, 2002. The theme of the conference is " Hospital Pharmacist for Pharmacy Practice". About 300 delegates representing hospital pharmacy and pharmacy education sector drawn from all parts of the country are expected to attend the conference. Informing this S L Nasa, secretary, IHPA said that the conference would highlight the importance of pharmacy practice in the country. "Pharmacy practice is an emerging discipline in India. Recently five institutions have started offering courses in Pharmacy Practice, which encompasses the hospital, clinical and community pharmacy disciplines. Our annual conference would try to create more awareness about pharmacy practices", he said.
