Fortis opens state-of-art Multi-Speciality Hospital in Amritsar

Fortis Healthcare has opened its state-of-the-art Multi-Speciality Hospital in Amritsar. The hospital, located at Ranjit Avenue, was inaugurated by Hon'ble Chief Minster of Punjab, Capt. Amarinder Singh. This launch is another step towards realizing the Fortis expansion plans to set up a chain of world-class hospitals across the country. The state-of-the-art Fortis Multi-Speciality Hospital will benefit people of Amritsar by providing comprehensive advanced services across 18 medical specialities including Cardiology, Dermatology, Dietetics & Nutrition, Endocrinology, ENT, General Surgery, Gynaecology & Obstetrics, Neuro Surgery, Neurology, Opthalmology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Plastic Surgery and Pulmonology. A unique beneficial feature of the hospital is the telelink with Fortis Heart Institute & Multi-Speciality Hospital in Mohali, allowing specialist doctors to monitor patients in Amritsar round the clock and provide expert advice sitting in Mohali itself. The system will enable functional integration by ensuring availability of records at the touch of a button, thereby allowing remote access to patient records and providing on-line help in delivering patient centric care. Speaking at the launch, Harpal Singh, Chairman, Fortis Healthcare Ltd, said, "The opening up of multi-speciality centre in Amritsar is in line with our vision of bringing medical facilities of international standards within easy reach of people by setting up world-class hospitals across northern region." The 50-bedded hospital is equipped with latest generation facilities including two operation theatres with highest sterility for preventing infection during surgery.
