The Drugs Controller General of India has issued clearances for the import of 42 bulk drugs and six formulations during July 15 to August 15, 2003.
While 23 of the bulk drugs import clearances have been given to Chinese companies , the rest are from USA (10), Germany (5), Spain (2) and one each from Italy and Denmark.
On the formulation front, Intervet India got clearances for importing cefquimone sulphate, buserelin acetate injection and Tiaprost Trometanol injection (0.196 mg) from Intervet International, GMBH, Germany. Bharat Serum and Vaccine received clearance for importing HCG Injection 1000/2000/5000 I U from Techpool Bio Pharma China. Kee Pharma Limited and United Biotech Pvt Limited were cleared as the authorized agents for Placental Histotheray Center, Cuba and Recip AB, Sweden for importing Malagenina Plus Lotion-235 ml and Amino Acid Tablets (Aminess N) respectively.
