The Destination Sri Lanka Food and Pharma Tech event being held on September 4-6, 2003, at Colombo focusses on Food & Pharma industry, which means target business visitors to the event. Business institutions and buyer-seller meets & get togethers is also being held. Pharma-Tech would showcase plant and machinery for pharma production, infrastructure and accessories, packaging materials & machinery, laboratory equipment, instruments and laboratory ware, pharmaceutical ingredients & raw material, water treatment and waste management, biotechnology, hospital equipment, research & development and standards, quality control, environment & pollution control, process technology, automation and control. Food technologies would showcase processing - technology & equipment, packaging - packaging material technology & equipment, measuring and regulating systems, analytics and hygiene, research and development marketing infrastructure, storage facilities, transport facilities, refrigeration and cooling technologies, beverage technologies, process and packaging technologies for water, soft drinks, fruit juices, alcoholic drinks, food ingredients, kitchen equipments, hotel & restaurant equipment. Organised by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the organizer of the exhibition, has a unique infrastructure both at the Domestic and International levels. With a membership encompassing, directly and indirectly over 2,50,000 large, medium & small business units employing nearly 20 million people. FICCI actively partners with the Govt. of India in the great task of nation building. Looking at the immense business opportunity available in Sri Lanka, as the country is moving towards a peaceful business environment. The event is being Co- Organised by Sri Lanka Exhibition & Convention Centre (SLECC), owned and operated by Intertrade Lanka Management (Private) Limited, is a widely acknowledged identity in the business and trading community. It is a symbol of experience, expertise and excellence in Business-to-Business and Business-to-Consumer trade meets the portfolio of events ranging from consumer fairs to trade exhibitions, both local and international.
