Interkama 2003 evokes grandiose response among biotechnology and pharma sector

Interkama India, Pharma India & Biotec India International 2003, the event to showcase latest technologies in automation and instrumentation and their applications in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, has evolved a grandiose response. The event attracted 137 exhibitors from eight countries including a German group participation and 7239 visitors from 21 countries around the world including business visitors from U.S.A, Europe, China, Thailand, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Australia, Tanzania, Poland, Central Europe and Middle-East. The event, which was inaugurated at the NAC Auditorium, Hyderabad, on September 24, 2003 by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, Shri Chandrababu Naidu, witnessed top notch professionals from varied sectors like power, oil and gas, process control, instrumentation, chemicals, pharma machinery and packaging, analytical and laboratory equipment, research, food and biotech services, looking at the latest products and technologies on offer and discussing business solutions. There was unanimity amongst the visitors and exhibitors about the high class infrastructure created at HITEX and the good overall facilities at the venue. The parallel conferences were also well attended and boasted of some of the best speakers, from both India and abroad. The conference on biotechnology was conducted by Biotech Consortium India Ltd (BCIL ), covering the theme “Bioconvergence For Excellence”. ISA – Asia Pacific District did a technical conference on “Integrating Measurement and Process Control Systems with Enterprise Systems”. A first time effort was made to rope in the decision-makers at the highest level through a “CEO Forum “, which deliberated on the critical issue of “Harnessing Global Competitiveness of Indian Pharmaceutical and Food Industries through Integrated Automation”. It was a great success, with over 75 CEO’s from the automation and pharma industry, participating from all over the country.
