The Strategic Research Institute is organising a conference on Phosphodiesterases in Disease on November 13 - 14, 2003. The inaugural Phosphodiesterases in Disease conference will be held this Fall in Princeton, New Jersey at the Westin Princeton at Forrestal Village.
Leaders in pharmaceuticals, biotech and academia will discuss novel ideas and discoveries on PDE4 in Inflammatory Diseases, PDE4 in Other Diseases, New Roles for PDEs and PDE5 in Disease.
The highlights of the conference would be "Intracellular Targeting of PDE4s: Beta2 - adrenoceptor Signalling Regulation by a Beta - arrestin/PDE4 Complex" by Miles Houslay, The University of Glasgow; "The Physiology and Pharmacology of PDE4s" by Marco Conti, Stanford University; "The PDE4 Gene Confers Risk to Common Stroke" by Kari Stefansson, deCODE Genetics.
Other speakers include leaders from Altana, Celgene, Celltech, ICOS, Johnson & Johnson, Memory Pharmaceuticals, Merck, New York Medical College, NIH/DHHS/NHLBI, Pfizer, Plexxikon, Schering – Plough, Serono, Tanabe and Vanderbilt University.
