CIPI to organize seminar for SSIs on the last day of IPC

The Confederation of Indian Pharmaceutical Industries (CIPI) is organising a seminar for SSIs on the last day - December 21 - of IPC Chennai. ‘Named Challenges and Opportunities for Pharmaceutical Industries in the New Era”, the seminar would discuss a host of important issues and problems faced by the SSI sector in the country, said TS Jaishankar, chairman and PK Gupta, co-chairman, CIPI. The event is co-organised by the Confederation of South Indian Pharmaceutical Industries Association. The seminar starts at 11 in the morning at the conference venue. An expert from US will speak on the need for technical advancements to the SSI sector. Besides, experts will also talk on subjects like outsourcing, ways to gather information and the approach required to get orders from the government etc, said the sources. Following the topic presentations, experts will answer any queries of the participants in he question answer session, said the sources. The CIPI chairman felt the conference would be a big boost to the industry. The recent decision of SIDBI to offer loans to SSI pharma units would be a great boost to the industry, and the members would be keen to meet the SIDBI higher officials participating in the conference tomorrow.
