India will have a full-fledged national pavilion for the first time at the mega international exhibition, which is expected to have close to 40 national pavilions and around 2,000 to 2,500 companies participating, KG Anil Kumar, General Secretary of the Indian Pharmaceutical Forum of UAE said. The enhanced Indian participation is a good response to a road show held in Mumbai in September. Ranbaxy is the only Indian major to have entered the UAE market, but many others like Cipla Labs and Reddy's Labs have applied for registration. More firms could enter the market in the future based on the response to participation in such exhibitions, Kumar said.
