Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Ltd. has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its ANDA of a new strength (25mg) for Metoprolol Tartrate, Jitendra Doshi, chief executive officer, announced. He added that, "Shipments of 25 mg Metoprolol Tartrate shall commence shortly."
Doshi also said that, "Caraco currently markets Metoprolol Tartrate, a generic form of Novartis' Lopressor, in 50mg and 100 mg strengths." The company currently has 17 drugs in its formulary.
Detroit-based Caraco Pharmaceutical Laboratories, Ltd., develops, manufactures and distributes generic prescription drugs to some of the nation's largest wholesalers, distributors, drugstore chains, healthcare systems and state and federal agencies.
