The Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), Hyderabad has organized a UNESCO-DSIR-CCMB workshop on Digital Library Development from January 28-February 7, 2004.
The Department of Scientific & Industrial Research has been involved in facilitating scientific and technological information through NISSAT.
The workshop deals with aspects such as content creation, improving infrastructure, increasing connectivity and protecting IPR. It also aims to initiate collaborations and sharing of resources at local, national and international levels.
About 10 participants from neighbouring countries like Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka and 10 from India are attending the workshop. Resource persons from organizations such as Osmania University, Mysore University, University of Hyderabad, CCMB, ICICI Knowledge Park, National Centre for Science Information (NCSI) and National Institute for Science Communication and Information Research (NISCAIR) will share their experiences.
