iCAD, Inc, which designs, develops and markets Computer Aided Detection (CAD) imaging technology and systems for the early detection of breast cancer, announced plans to exhibit its new Second Look line of CAD products at the 14th Annual National Interdisciplinary Breast Cancer Conference (NIBCC). The conference, which is sponsored by the National Consortium of Breast Centers, Inc. (NCBC), is scheduled for February 22-25, 2004, at Las Vegas. "We are very excited about this opportunity to visit with a large number of potential customers as a group for the first time since the merger was completed," stated Scott Parr, CEO of iCAD. "We have now successfully combined and integrated all research, development, engineering, regulatory, quality control, finance, MIS, administration, marketing, sales, service and support functions. Along with our reseller partners, which represent 300 sales people around the country, we will take advantage of the NIBCC conference to exhibit our new continuum of CAD solutions to attendees." "In connection with the consolidation of our sales channels and product lines, we have combined our iQ, MammoReader and Second Look products into iCAD's 'Second Look'-branded line of CAD devices. We believe iCAD has created the broadest and most comprehensive offering of CAD products in the industry and associated it with a single, well-recognized and appropriate model brand. The Second Look brand has the greatest equity and market recognition of any iCAD brand in the market. We are taking advantage of this to create a continuum of iCAD Second Look products, making CAD accessible and affordable to every women's health care provider. Case capacity, work flow, user interface, upgradeability, digital extensions and price are among the characteristics that distinguish our six different Second Look models." Products exhibited at the NIBCC will include the iCAD Second Look 200, formerly called the iCAD iQ, which is the company's innovative solution for lower-volume, value oriented customers that have a workload of up to 20 mammograms per day. iCAD has released this model to a targeted number of breast imaging centers around the count" We believe the Second Look 200 is a category-defining product that offers the advantages of computer aided detection to facilities that were heretofore unable to afford CAD technology," continued Parr. "We are anxious to introduce conference attendees to the 200 series and other Second Look products that can provide their patients with the advantages of a technology that assists radiologist in the early identification of breast cancer." The Company offers six iCAD Second Look solutions. In addition to the Second Look 200, iCAD's Second Look 400 provides a modular, network-ready solution for value oriented customers that process up to 80 cases per day.
