Schroff Memorial Award 2003 conferred on Dr Suresh

The Council of the Indian Hospital Pharmacists' Association conferred the Schroff Memorial National Award 2003 on Dr Bhojraj Suresh in recognition of his contributions to the education and practice in pharmacy, during the recently held 55th Indian National Congress at Chennai. Dr B Suresh started his career in 1982 as a lecturer in JSS College of Pharmacy, Ooty and was elevated to the post of principal within a year. He was instrumental in promoting the introduction of post-graduate courses in pharmacy practice in 1995, and Phytopharmacy and Phytomedicine in 2001. In research, his interests include revitalization of traditional medicines, pharmacology and toxicological validation of herbal drugs, hospital and clinical pharmacy. Author of four books, Dr Suresh has more than 150 publications in national and international journals.
