Dr Ramanathan, managing director of Sitaram Ayurveda Pharmacy Ltd., Thrissur and general secretary of the Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturers’ Association of India (AMMAI), was awarded the first ‘Assocham’ award for management excellence, instituted by the Associated Chamber of Commerce, Kerala.
The award was presented to Dr Ramanathan by Dr.P.K.Warrier, managing trustee of the Kottakkal Arya Vaidya Sala, at a function organized in Thrissur as part of the Assocham day celebrations. The award committee consisting of four senior industry observers, considered only industrialists in the state with an excellent record of accomplishment of over ten years, said the sources.
Dr Ramanathan, also the chief executive officer and chief physician at Sitaram, is a member of the Central Council of Indian Medicine, besides holding positions like the Managing Editor of Oushadham (drug) magazine, Ayurvedic Board Member of Kannur University etc.
