The Hyderabad-based, Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in association with Vishal Surgical Equipment Company is conducting the first educational course in clinical practice of wireless capsule endoscopy.
The course will benefit the doctors in understanding the features, benefits and limitations of M2A capsule endoscopy and in understanding the main elements of the capsule endoscopy procedure and to detect and interpret pathology in a patient.
The endocopy developed by Israel based Given Imaging (GI) moves the capsule smoothly and painlessly through the gastrointestinal tract, transmitting colour video images as it passes the tract.
About 30 gastro-enterologists from across the country are expected to participate in the one-day course.
