Free health insurance policy for Medicine Shoppe customers

The Medicine Shoppe India, Indian arm of Medicine Shoppe International, has tied-up with Royal Sundaram Alliance Insurance Company Ltd to provide free Health insurance policies to its customers. Under this agreement, Royal Sundaram will extend the "HealthShield" cover of Rs 15,000 to Medicine Shoppe customers on purchase of medicines exceeding Rs 12,000. "HealthShield" will be provided to all customers between 91 days and 45 years of age and will be valid for one year from the date a customer completes the target purchase value. The insurance benefit is transferable and can be endorsed in favour of another person by the customer. Commenting on this initiative and its benefits, Viraj Gandhi, managing director, Medicine Shoppe India said, "This scheme is a part of our constant endeavour to provide personalised and value added services to our customers." Earlier, Medicine Shoppe had tied-up with Bajaj Allianz for personal accident insurance. Till date, the company has distributed policies worth Rs 11 crore to its customers.
