IDMA TN board conducts workshop on Schedule M

The Tamil Nadu state Board of the Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA), in association with the SSI sub-committee of IDMA, will conduct a workshop on Schedule M on Saturday, the 19th of June 2004 at Hotel Ambassador Pallava, Chennai, for the benefit of SSI sector in the state. The workshop with the theme 'Schedule M Upgradation for Progressive SSI Units', has been planned on receipt of a large number of answered questionnaires from the SSI members of IDMA, in order to educate the members in various areas for complying with the Schedule M requirements, according to T Ravichandran, chairman of IDMA Tamil Nadu State Board. The interactive workshop will have important topics deliberated upon by various experts in their respective field, on subjects like documentation and validation, water systems, air handling, plant layout, finance etc. The programme will also include a buyer-seller meet to help the SSIs in the region. The seminar is open not only to IDMA members, but also to all members of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Tamil Nadu as well as other pharmaceutical manufacturers. The participants have to pay a registration fee of Rs.800 per head, according to K Panchapakesan, seminar co-ordinator and S Madhavan, honourary secretary of the IDMA, Tamil Nadu State Board. The programme will also have an exhibition of machinery/equipments by suppliers and consultants on Schedule M, to help the members.
