The Kerala drug control department is conducting a three-day workshop on 'CGMP, Auditing of blood banks and manufacturing units' from 4th to 6th of August, this year for the senior drug enforcement officials.
Speaking to Pharmabiz, T P Gopinath, drug controller, Kerala said, at least 15 senior drug inspectors in the state are likely to participate in the workshop held at Kochi. Besides, the DCA will invite senior officials from the neighbouring states of Tamilnadu, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
The workshop is expected to help the officials to get training on inspection and other related regulatory aspects in the wake of the new global standard manufacturing facilities and practices being adopted by the units. The DC said experts like Kapil Bharghava, Dr. Mitra and Dr. Roy from CDSCO, Gaziabad would lead the various sessions planned for the workshop.
