Cadila Pharma relocates corporate office to new complex at Bhat

Cadila Pharmaceuticals has relocated its corporate head office to the newly built complex at Bhat from IRM House at Ahmedabad. Situated in the close vicinity of Ahmedabad, yet away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Bhat is a serene location, where the company has recently commissioned the new corporate house. Spread over 15 acres of lush green land, the campus has 1,60,000 sq. ft. built up area. The campus, at the outset reminds one of a premier learning institution, elegantly crafted on a large platter studded with precious stones. No wonder, the complex is much hailed by everyone, including reputed architects as a Signature Piece, at least in this part of the Indian Map. Built at a cost of Rs. 25 crore, the project took two years for completion. The office complex houses seven buildings for various Strategic Business Units (SBUs) with huge reception and exhibition area. With a centralized conference facility with different combination of conference and meeting rooms in an independent block, it has the Guest House with 34 well appointed rooms, supported by health club, swimming pool and recreation areas. The guest house also contains a well furnished and equipped training center and a centralized kitchen facility. To add to facilities amenities, an Amphitheatre with Green Rooms with an audience capacity of 500 people, and Jogging Tracks are on the verge of completion. The entire complex has been constructed with modern construction method using exposed brickwork and concrete. These sample-looking buildings have been made intelligent up to the level that they can control intensity of light by taking note of sunlight coming from outside. Similarly thermal sensitive processors control air conditioners. The concept for interior designing is open seating for all, so as, a feel of space is felt by everyone. Then also it has been made possible that personalized needs are fulfilled for every level of employee. The entire complex is a paper less office, which has been made possible by using top of the line and a state of art IT LAN network. Every staff is connected with LAN network by using fastest IT switches, Routers and fiber optical cables. The system is further connected with company's different units, all over the country by using WAN (Wide Area Network). An independent building facilitates a state of art conference area. The conference areas are being equipped with most advanced projection and audio systems. The campus has a 100 number DoT connection, radio connection, lease lines from Ahmedabad and Dholka, apart from a hi- frequency satellite connectivity by a V-Set. There is also video connectivity and conferences facilities between all Cadila Pharma units, all over the world. Internal communication has been made possible by using the most advanced 500 lines EPABX, which has all office and hospitality features. To facilitate the catering, an air-conditioned cafeteria has been made with most hygiene, well-ventilated and air-cooled open kitchen, where at a time 150 persons can be accommodated. In the Training center, there are four class rooms, three of 30 seats and one of 100 seats capacity for in house training needs. All the rooms will have modern equipment for audiovisual system with required level of acoustic treatment. The campus has its own small forest area in which more than 7000 trees have been planted by careful selection, to attract migratory birds. The water body will give them feel of security and forest cover will look after their food and nesting requirements. The campus has its own 100 per cent back-up captive power generation facility by a 750 Kva DG set with proper UPS back up. The water supply has been through two bore wells and is on a hydro pneumatic system. The softeners treats the entire water supplied in the campus and drinking water is further treated with RO (Riverse Osmosis) plants. HCP Architects and Town planners, Ahmedabad was the project management Architect of this campus and A.Y. Retiwala, Mumbai has executed the Landscaping.
