Kopran Ltd, the integrated healthcare has introduced seven new drugs in Respiratory, Orthopedic & Pain Management, Anti-Diabetic, Anti-Infective and Erectile Dysfunction segments together with a unique device for dry powder inhalation therapy.
Easehaler, a dry powder inhaler is one of the newly-launched products by Kopran. Transparent new Easehaler device ensures inhalation of full dose of medication, while the unique design of the device helps full intake of the drug into the lung even at a low inspiratory flow rate. Easehaler can be used with dry powder inhalation therapy like, Vent, Vent SF, Vent Plus and Vent FB, the company claims.
Vent FB, another new product is a fixed-dose combination of quick acting bronchodilator, Formoterol with dependable inhaled corticosteroid, Budesonide to improve lung function and Peak Expiratory Flow Rate (PEFR) of asthma patients.
Other drugs-Vovelax-P and Vovelax-T- are the fixed dose combinations of the modern COX-2 inhibitor Valdecoxib for management of pain, bone and joint inflammation, and muscular spasms. Vovelax-P is a fixed dose combination of Valdecoxib and Paracetamol, which provides better anti-inflammatory and analgesic efficacy compared to conventional Non Steroidal Anti-inflammatory Drugs (NSAID). Vovelax-T is a unique fixed dose combination of Valdecoxib and muscle relaxant Tizanidine for quick relief of inflammation and pain along with muscular spasms, the release said.
Prides-MF is a fixed dosed combination of oral hypoglycemic agent Glimepiride with anti-diabetic Metformin for effective management of type-2 diabetes.
S-Klodip contains one of the latest anti-hypertensives - S Amlodipine, which is an isomer of Amlodipine. S-Klodip, a very effective calcium channel blocker indicated for the management of Hypertension and Angina, has a better side effects profile than Amlodipine.
Regat is a formulation of the new generation quinolone - Gatifloxacin. It has a superior coverage over other quinolones. Regat offers superior efficacy in the treatment of infections caused by both Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms. In addition, being a methoxy-fluoroquinolone it prevents the development of resistance by the pathogen. Convenient once a day dosage regimen of Regat ensures better patient compliance compared to other quinolones, company said.
Nialis is a formulation of Tadalafil - the latest molecule for the treatment of Erectile Dysfunction/ Impotence. Nialis scores over existing therapy for Erectile Dysfunction as it acts faster and the response is more spontaneous, the release said.
