Dynapharm Group of Malaysia plans Rs 25cr-investment in India

Dynapharm Group of Malaysia has finalized its plan to invest Rs 25 crore in the coming five years in India. As part of this plan, the Group is intending to set up a manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh to manufacture various healthcare products to cater to the needs of Indian market. The Group also plans to set up an R& D facility in India very soon. The exact locations for the R & D facilities have not yet finalized. The Group has so far invested Rs 5 cr in the Indian operations. The Group has already set up its marketing arm Diamond Interest (India) Ltd during end 2003, and has taken up marketing its products in Andhra Pradesh spreading over to other states such as Karnataka, Tamilnadu, Kerala and Chattisgarh, Abdul Rahmat Puvarasan, country manager, Diamond Interest (India) said. In India, the Group markets products such as Yeegano, a combination of polysaccharides, organic germanium and triterpenoids that improves blood circulation and enhances the immune system; Yeeginkgo, contain compounds such as flavonoids and terpenoid which help in improving memory and brain function. Other products include 'Liquid Chlorophyl Plus Guarana Juice' that helps in reducing excess cholesterol and fatty acids and improves digestive system; 'Bee Pollen,' helps in relieving constipation and diarrhea, protects against allergy and asthma, reduces menstrual pains and irregularities etc. The company intends to manufacture these products in India, at the proposed manufacturing facility. The Group, established 25 years ago, has various subsidiaries such as, Dynapharma Sdn Bhd, Dynapharm Marketing Sdn, Dynapharm Lab Services, Dyna Lab Associate, China Medical Works, Herbal Medical Works Sdn Bhd, Izuhan Pharmacy Sdn Bhd, Diamond Interest sdn and Diamond International (Philippines) Inc.
