The Mumbai-based JB Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals Ltd has appointed Jay Mehta as vice president, R&D from August 1, 2004, to enhance the R&D activities of the company.
Working as a Research Engineer in the JB Chemicals R&D department, he has developed practical hands-on experience in Pharma research, management of process control systems and lab instruments. Later, he moved to the US to work with Allergan Pharmaceuticals, Irvine, California. He continues to work as a research colleague/assistant with the University of California, Irvine, in the Molecular Biology and Biochemistry Department, a release from JB chemicals said here.
