Global Clinical Trials Conference to be held in Mumbai

The Global Clinical Trials Conference, organized by Pharma Bio World magazine in association with Chemtech Foundation, will be held on October 26-27 at The Hotel Intercontinental, Mumbai. The 2-day conference will see presentations from industry leaders and experts on all aspects of the Clinical Trials industry. The objective is to bring all the stakeholders including the regulators, policy makers and representatives of the ethical committees, pharma industry, research organizations, academia, government and investigators together, galvanizing the field with renewed interest. It will be a platform to exchange and share information and to collectively suggest some recommendations to overcome the hurdles through dialogue and interaction, officials informed here. Prof. Francis Crawley, secretary general & ethics officer of the European Forum for Good Clinical Practice will be the keynote speaker and Dr Ashwini Kumar, DCGI, will inaugurate the conference. Dr. Dhananjay Bakhle, director-Medical Research & Regulatory Affairs, Aventis Pharma is the Convenor. The top brass from leading pharma companies will speak at the event. The topics, which will be discussed include- facilitating regulatory clearances for clinical trials; harmonising clinical trial guidelines; strengthening monitoring capabilities; intellectual property protection & global studies : myths & realities etc.
