Pharmexcil signs MoU with Filipino trading corporation

Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) recently signed a memorandum of understanding with Philippines International Trading Corporation (PITC), a trading and marketing arm of Philippines Government, which is aimed at making quality essential medicines accessible, available and affordable for Filipino citizens. The MoU was jointly signed by Roberto M Pagdanganan, chairman & president, PITC, who is also a cabinet rank minister in the Government of Philippines, and D B Mody, chairman, Pharmexcil. According to the MoU, Pharmexcil & PITC will closely work together for fulfilling the objectives of both the organizations. Pharmexcil will act as a nodal agency for interfacing with the government bodies in India on behalf of PITC for effective and smooth co-ordination. It will also organise the visits of Filipino medical doctors and pharma industry personnel to India.
